World Cup T20 Betting

Are you looking to back South Africa in the current World Cup cricket T20 tournament running in the West Indies? Or perhaps you've got your eye on the expected Australian victory?

If that's the case, you should head on down to several top bookies who are offering a myriad of betting markets on the current World Cup cricket.

Competition is becoming tighter and more exciting as the Super Eights heat up for action towards the finals on May 16th in this third annual competition.

Barbados has learned from past mistakes and has allowed local fans to return to the stands with their musical instruments, after they were banned in the ICC World Cup in 2007.

As such, the atmosphere is lively, the stands are full and ICC organizers are happy.

"Some of the cricket has been fantastic. The games were very good. The Super Eights should make the competition more stiff and engrossing," is the way ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat summed up the competition so far.

Another exciting development in this year's competition is that women's cricket has finally begun to receive the recognition it deserves, being the fastest growing sector for the ICC.

Women's cricket has become integrated into the ICC system and things are going according to plan.

ICC Twenty20 World Cup Betting

The West Indies is currently a hub of excitement as cricket fans from all over the world turn their eyes to the one one of the sporting world's most exciting cricket tournaments - the ICC World Twenty20 tournament.

The tournament will run until May 16th and expectations are high in the third annual competition of this series.

All in all, 12 seeded teams began the tournament in four different groups, made up as follows:

Group A: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia

Group B: Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Zimbabwe

Group C: South Africa, India, Afghanistan

Group D: West Indies, England, Ireland

Pakistan are the current champions and carry a well deserved title after defeating Sri Lanka in the last final.

However, both Sri Lanka and Australia are keen to impress the crowds after they gave poor performances in 2009.

Betting on this cricket extravaganza is high and bookies have reported record wagering activity as punters flock to back their favorite teams.

Some of the most current markets have odds of 7/2 on Australia as the outright winner (Ladbrokes), 5/1 on South Africa (Sky Bet and Tote Sport) and 9/1 on England (Bet 365).

It seems that the current favorite to win the competition, however, is Australia.
