 The Windmill Lodge is the hotel that contains the Windmill casino. It is part
of the Sun International hotel chain. It is a luxurious establishment with French
decor, in line with the Moulin Rouge theme of the casino itself.
It offers guests
76 rooms and 4 suites to choose from. The lodge is set amongst wonderful landscaped
gardens.
Dining facilities are provided in the form of Rosie's Buffet Restaurant. The
10- item buffet is the centre point. It offers traditional South African fare,
as well as Italian and Asian cuisine.
There is also a centre-cut grill featuring
a rotisserie and carvery. Desserts include pastries, pies, cakes and a variety
of ice-creams.
The conference venue can accommodate up to 200 delegates. Configurations
are flexible, multi-purpose and offer the latest in technology.
Bar afficionados can avail themselves of the comfort of Diamond Lil's. It
is an action bar with saloon styling. There are cabaret shows, live country
music acts, comedy shows and big-screen sports broadcasts.
The bar serves pub
fare with a difference, including steak rolls and Moroccan kebabs.
For other entertainment there is a Superbowling 10-Pin Bowling Centre, including
pool tables. There is a modern scoring system and a fun "glow-in-the-dark"
game playing feature. Leagues and tournaments can be entered.
Kids are catered for as well at Windmill Lodge. The Planet Play games arcade offers video games
and fun-fair redemption games and tickets can be exchanged for great prizes at the Prize
Shop.
A crèche is available for children between the ages of 2 and 12. This secure
environment gives parents complete peace of mind, with trained child minders
constantly on duty.
