December 31 - Physiotherapist, Chris Towers, has suggested that Shane Williams may be ready for the Ospreys against Toulon game in the Heineken Cup to be held on January 22.
If he manages that, he may also be fit for Wales' opening Six Nations game against England on February 4th.
The 33-year old record international try-scorer dislocated his shoulder during their defeat to the world champion, South African team. He plays at scrum half and as a wing and he is well-known for his ability to find gaps in the defence and for his acceleration.
Williams currently holds third place on "All-time Test Try Scoring List" since he broke the record set by Gareth Thomas. Williams was called off the field for 12 weeks following his shoulder dislocation and surgery.
In a recent update, club physiotherapist, Towers has stated that Williams is making good recovery and they hope to pencil him in for the Heineken Cup game at the end of next month.
Specifically, Towers commented that "Shane is five weeks post-op and is coming along well. He is working hard and doing two or three sessions per day, so we are rehabbing him as hard as we can. He's making good progress and we aren't ruling out a possible return for the Toulon game, which is in line with our best case scenario, although he still has some way to go yet."
South Africa Sports betting sites will be watching this news closely as to ascertain whether Williams will really be returning and one can expect their odds to reflect this in the near future. Watch this space!
