April 24 - Today will see the first quarter final event of the Vodacom Cup kicking off in Durban.
The South African Rugby Union confirmed the dates and times for this weekend's quarterfinal earlier in the week, and betting action has heated up since then.
The first event will take place at Absa Stadium in Durban today at 5 pm where winners of the South Section, Sharks XV will host the Golden Lions.
Saturday April 25th will be an action packed day of rugby as teams battle it out on the field towards the R1 million Vodacom Cup title.
At 2 pm, last year's winners and the reigning champions, the Blue Bulls will host Western Province in Pretoria at Loftus Versveld. The Blue Bulls were the winners of the North Section.
Kimberly will see last year's losing finalists, Free State being hosted by GWK Griquas at their own stadium at 3 pm. on Saturday.
The final game on Saturday will be played out at George's Outeniqua Park between the SWD Eagles and the Platinum Leopards. This game will kick off at 5 pm.
This is the third season in succession that three of the teams (the Griquas, the Leopards and the Blue Bells) are vying for their place in the semifinals.
The Sharks and Western Province are also appearing in the quarterfinals for the third consecutive year.
Among this year's quarter finalists, the Golden Lions hold the record for the most number of titles won - namely in 1999, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
