October 30 - Players who access online casinos in the Vegas Partner Lounge
group and play specific games will be helping a worthy cause in South Africa, it
was learned this week.
The group has pledged to donate 25% of the income generated by the games to
help fight AIDS/HIV, in a bid to "heighten awareness and help those who are most
in need", according to the manager, Austin Green.
Last year, Vegas Partner Lounge donated $18,000 to the Leratong AIDS Hospice
in Pretoria which houses mainly elderly patients and children who have been
affected by this disease. The hospice provides its patients with shelter and
care and benefitted greatly by the group's contribution.
This year, Vegas Partner Lounge has vowed to increase the sum of its donation
significantly and is calling on its players to help make an impact.
"Vegas Partner Lounge will do its best to collect a heftier amount in 2008,"
said Green. "We urge our existing players to play the three preset online games
from which 25% of all bets will be put aside for donation purposes."
Three of the most popular games in the group have been chosen and these are:
Thunderstruck, Tomb Raider: Secret of the Sword and the new Kung Fu Monkey.
Some of the industry's top casinos belong to the group, including River Nile
online casino, Crazy Vegas online casino, Golden Riviera online casino and Sun
Vegas online casino.
All the casinos in the Vegas Partner Lounge group are powered by Microgaming,
providing players with one of the most thrilling and entertaining sessions
available.
No decision has been made about where this year's funds will be donated to,
but the gaming group said that an announcement will be made before the end of
the year.
