Bafana draw 1-1 with Mexico on Friday, employing what has been described as a near perfect game plan against the South Americans.
The team took the lead when Siphiwe Tshababala earned the first goal of the match, and Blue Square has odds of 10/1 that he will pull the same stunt in Wednesday's match.
However, the overall favourites to win the match at Loftus Versfeld is Uruguay.
Bafana will be playing for its life, as this is the South African side's chance to qualify for the final sixteen stage.
Bafana certainly showed what it was made of on Friday in the opening match against Mexcio, clearly playing to a delighted home crowd.
Itumleleng Khune, Bafana goalkeeper actually had one complaint about the crowd - that the earsplitting vuvuzelas were not loud enough.
Speaking about their hopes for Wednesday's match, Kagisho Dikgacoi said: "We learnt a lot by being out there on such an important day. Hopefully we can take that into the next game."
"We can build on this performance," he added. "We now know that we can compete with some of the best players in the world. They put us under a lot of pressure but we managed to contain them."
