Super 14 Rugby - Round 8 Betting Odds and Picks

April 3 - Week 8 in the Super 14 is sure to deliver some great entertainment and the big talk will be how the less than convincing Sharks go on the road.

Short and sweet, here are our Week 8 Super 14 picks.

Highlanders vs Lions

Two teams that have been abysmal to say the least and trying to pick this one is like watching paint dry. Highlanders at home so one has to think they'll win comfortable by 10+

Brumbies vs Chiefs

Mortlock and Ashley-Cooper are back for the Brumboys who already have some exciting youngsters doing great things. The Chiefs as usual get better as the season wears on but their defense is crap. Brumbies to win a tight one by less than 7.

Force vs Bulls

The Bulls deserved to win last week and only have themselves to blame. The Force were smashed by the Stormers who exposed their backs. The Bulls have tightened up their defense. Bulls to smash them upfront and win by more than 7.

Hurricanes vs Sharks

The Sharks have managed to win ugly but they are up against a really good tram who at home will test them to the limit. The big worry is that lack of creativity in the Sharks backline. At home we have to back the Canes by less than 10.

Waratahs vs Blues

McKenzie has a point to prove after getting the sack. The Blues have got away with two matches they did not deserve to win. Tahs by 10 or more.

Cheetahs vs Reds

Cheetahs have played great rugby but don't know how to win. Maybe their inspirational skipper back on the bench can come on and help them close it down. Oh and we just can't stand the Reds so Cheetahs at a canter by more than 10.

The Crusaders and the Stormers have a bye this week!
