May 2 - This is the most crucial round in this year's Super 14 so far. It
will separate the men from the boys in terms of semi-final aspirations. It's do
or die for the Guppiefish and the Breezes. Lose and they're toast. Bet on all
the games at

Crusaders v Sharks, in Hell on Friday
The Sharks scraped wins in the early part of the season. Since going on the
road they have gone backwards, especially in the second half. Last week's
complete second half collapse made them look like a team that just doesn't have
what it takes.
Sorry to our Fish readers - Crusaders by 20 or more. The gap is just too big.
Reds v Blues, Brisbane on Friday
Does anyone care? The Reds looked better last week and the Blues are on a
slippery slope. I have to make a call, and there's more class in the Blues
outfit.
Blues by 10 but not after a bit of a scare.
Cheetahs v Highlanders, Bloemfontein on Friday
Game of the Round! Kidding. Just when we thought they could bot get any
worse, the Cheetahs surprised us. We think they will somehow get up for this one
but only because the Highlanders should be called the Lowlanders.

Hurricanes v Lions, Wellington on Saturday
Are the Lions still on tour? It's been like 15 weeks now it seems. They look
tired. Tired of playing, tired of losing.

Force v Chiefs in the South African Province of Perth on Saturday
The Force are toast as far as the semifinals are concerned but with Giteau
back they are a totally different outfit. They have picked a seventeen year old
rookie at 12. Loauki, the human wrecker from the Chiefs, will be licking his
lips. Chiefs are a form team. Who wants to watch rugby on a cricket pitch
anyway?

Bulls v Waratahs, Bloutoria on Saturday
The Waratahs have won their last five and they are starting to look the
business. Palu was outstanding last week and their back three destroyed the
Sharks at the breakdown. Everyone will tell you the Bulls at home are a
different prospect but they live in the past. The Tahs will hit Pretoria with
confidence and do a job on the pitiful Bulls. Blame Ludeke, blame Bakkies, blame
Habana's dad. Blame whoever you like but the Bulls are a spent force. They'll
try hard but fail.

Stormers v Brumbies, Cape Town, Saturday 17:00
This is going to be a cracker. I see some scribed going on about too many
chnages and injuries in the Stormers squad. Seems like Burger gets injured and
everyone panics. Diack is a very good 8, and Luke at six is in his preferred
position. The only worry is Wylie Human at 14 for the injured Chavanga. Not sure
what Rassie is thinking but eveyone says he is clever so there must be some
logic. Stormer's take a close one but with no bonus point.
Stormers by a close shave
As usual, we recommend
