October 25 - The internationally acclaimed Sun City Casino and Resort is playing
host to the Sun City Bird Watch competition, an opportunity for South African
bird watchers to 'strut their stuff' photo-wise.
Sun City Bird Watch is a photographic competition for amateur or professional
photographers wishing to showcase the amazing abundance of bird life at the
resort and well as their photographic abilities.
The 5 month competition runs until 31st January
2008 is intended to celebrate all different kinds of bird photography, with the
overall victor being awarded the title of 'Sun City Wild Bird Photographer
2007/8'.
There are great prizes up for grabs; the first prize is a fabulous 3 night,
midweek stay at the marvelous Palace of the Lost City. This includes Bed &
Breakfast for 2 people sharing, one complimentary dinner for two at the renowned
Crystal Court Restaurant, return transfers from OR Thambo International Airport
to Sun City as well as an exhilarating Game drive in the highly praised
Pilanesburg Game Park.
The second and third prizes are a 3 night, midweek stay at the relaxing Cabanas
Hotel situated right next to the lake, Bed & Breakfast for 2 people sharing with
a complimentary dinner at the Peninsula Restaurant for 2. Both these prizes also
include a standard game drive in the Pilanesburg Game Park and return transfers
from OR Thambo International Airport to Sun City.
The photographs have to be taken at the Sun City Resort. No photos taken in the
Cascades and Cabanas Aviaries or in the Pilanesburg Game Park will be accepted.
Any anyone can enter for no cost, day visitors included. The entries which
need to be on CD can be handed in at all Hotel Concierge Desks or at the Welcome
Centre Information Desk.

and the winner will be announced on the 15th of February 2008.
