November 27 - It was a great day for South African rugby on Saturday last week,
as the Springboks convincingly triumphed over England by 25-14 in a hard,
but fair rugby test matched at Twickenham stadium in London, England.
The Springboks victory over England was described as 'massive' by Springbok
coach, Jake White, who has been feeling the pressure over the Boks' poor
performance over the last few months.
Said White, 'This victory over England at their home ground is enormous because
it is the first time we have beaten them at Twickenham since 1997, and will give
the lads a tremendous confidence boost in terms of their preparation for the
upcoming rugby World Cup.'
White went on to say that while he thought that the games had not gone according
to plan for the Springboks during this tour, there were many positive points to take home and build on when back in South Africa.
One of these included the discovery of some great young and talented South African players.
Later this week the Springboks will travel up to Leicester, no doubt happy in the
knowledge that they have a psychological edge over England.
