April 10 - The Super 14 is getting exciting as we head towards the business
end. Teams are using the ELV's a lot better (except of course the Bulls), refs
are showing early signs that they know what's going on. Here are our picks for
this weekend's action.

HIGHLANDERS VS SHARKS, LAND OF THE MULLET ON FRIDAY
The Sharks just have too much class across the park and I think this will be
the game where Fred Michalak is given a bit of license. That Sharks bench is
also shaping up as one of the best comp and give them momentum when they com on.
Sharks by 14+. The Clan are just crap, and will continue to fight it out for for
the spoon.
CRUSADERS VS LIONS, HELL ON SATURDAY
The Lions just have no hope. Nada. Niks. They lost Carter you say? No
problem. This is how they find flyhalves in Canterbury: Walk out stadium, kick
nearest rock, find world-class flyhalf. Crusaders by 40.
BLUES VS BRUMBIES, AUCKLAND ON SATURDAY
This is the sort of game where you could just pick a side you hate the most
and hope they lose. Seriously though, it's Morty's second game backs and he will
by now remember how to play again. The Bluess have gone backwards at a rate of
knots, but their coach Nucifora will get them up for this one (remember he got
shafted by Georgie and co when they found out he was about to drop a few of the
oldies?)
Blues by 14.
WESTERN FORCE VS WARATAHS, THE SOUTH AFRICAN COLONY OF PERTH
This should be a cracker. Those Tahs are waking up and the Force will take a
lot from their win over the ueber shite Bulls. Force are overrated though and
the Tahs will squeeze the life out of them. Tahs by less than 7.
STORMERS VS CHEETAHS, IN SLAAPSTAD ON SATURDAY
This game has danger written all over it for the Stormers but hell they look
good. Two weeks of rest, chomping at the bit to play. The Cheetahs will take
heart from last weekend and from having their captain back but the Stormers have
too much class and pace out wide. Stormers by 10+, but not before a scare or
two.
DEAD COWS VS HURRICANES IN BLOUTORIA ON SATURDAY
More pain for the Bulls. Although they'll start well as usual the Canes will
run around them. Sorry. Canes by 10+.
We recommend Bet365.com and
Ladbrokes.com for the best rugby betting.
