Ryan's stats up to Round 4: 20 from 27
One thing is sure from last weekend. Everyone's tips got stuffed up by the
Highlanders shock win over the Crusaders.
I also eat some humble pie for not believing in the Sharks!
(Odds shown below were at the time of writing and may fluctuate depending on
the odds being laid at the exchange.)
Friday 13 March- Blues vs Cheetahs
This will get ugly. The Blues backline are starting to hit their straps and
they will put out their best team of the year so fare. There is only one way for
the Cheetahs and that's backwards.
Match Odds at
Betfair.com: Blues 1.07, Cheetahs 10.0
Brumbies vs Waratahs
This is actually a hard one to call. The Brumbies are coming off the bye and
the last time they played the Tahs in Canberra they lost there against them for
the first time. There is a ton of pride here, and the Tahs will look to keep
their 100% record going. I tip the Brumbies through, with Mortlock to lift his
team. Brumbies by a whisker.
Match Odds at
Betfair.com: Brumbies 2.04, Tahs 1.99
Saturday 14 March - Crusaders vs Force
They'll be spitting blood in Canterbury. The Crusaders haven't looked
anywhere near the team of the last few years but against the great pretenders
from Perth they will have too much gas at home. Crusaders by less than 12.
Match Odds at
Betfair.com: Crusaders 1.7, Force 2.46
Highlanders vs Chiefs
As much as I'd like to see the Highlanders pull off another win, the Chiefs
are on the up and with Muliaina back they will have too much in the backline for
the Clan. Chiefs to take it by 7 or more.
Match Odds at
Betfair.com: Highlanders 2.48, Chiefs 1.64
Reds vs Sharks
The Reds have been so much better this year and are never easy to take on in
Brisbane but the Sharks juggernaut is rolling and Plumtree seems to have
instilled a steeled discipline. Don't expect fireworks from the Sharks. They
will want to take a workmanlike approach and will grind out a win by less than
12.
Match Odds at
Betfair.com: Reds 2.35, Sharks1.45
Stormers vs Lions
The Stormers have been the more disappointing team this year. It's simple,
the have to win and that desperation should see them take it but I expect a win
by less than 12 with another performance that will leave their supporters
shaking their heads.
Match Odds at
Betfair.com: Stormers 1.31, Lions 4.1
