January 26 - The standard of entertainment reached new levels in Windhoek, capital city of Namibia recently after it was announced that the city's fantastic new Freedom Plaza will see the development of a hotel and casino complex.
Freedom Plaza, which was constructed to include a mixture of entertainment, residential, commercial and travel services, is the pride and joy of Windhoek. Developed by Madison Property Fund Managers, Freedom Plaza cost R2 billion to construct and covers an enormous area of 80,000 square meters.
"It is a project of the highest international standards and will transform the urban design and dynamic of Windhoek's CBD," noted Mike Flax from Madison Property Fund Managers.
Plans are now underway to begin construction on the African Pride Eliakim Namundjebo Plaza Hotel in February, which will cover 3,400 square meters and incorporate 125 luxury rooms and a casino. Visitors to the hotel will be able to enjoy unparalleled views of the city and mountains thanks to the excellent location of the complex at the gateway of Windhoek's Central Business District.
"Eliakim Namundjebo Plaza Hotel will be a world class asset, will add prestige to the city as well as become an interest point for travelers and locals alike," said Flax.
The luxury casino planned for the new hotel will be situated on the lower ground level, while the upper levels will feature business centers, boardrooms, travelers' lounges and cigar rooms. The casino will make an excellent cross border excursion for South Africans seeking additional gambling excitement, as well as the perfect venue for business meetings.
Other features of the new hotel and casino complex include a rooftop pool, a health bar and a garden terrace.
