February 26 - South African poker fans will be pleased to note that the 2010
Poker Champs Tournament will be held next month at Guateng's favourite
entertainment destination,
Montecasino.
The Main Event of the competition will be held from March 26th to 28th and
carries a R15,000 entry fee.
However, players can win their way into the Main Event by playing at weekly
satellites each Tuesday night.
The satellites, which run each Tuesday evening at 19h30, have a buy in of
R1,650 and players can register for them on Tuesdays from 17h00 at the Main Cash
Desk.
The satellites are 10 seater, single table events.
Montecasino also introduced multi table satellites where players are invited
to bring their friends or colleagues and, if they fill up an entire 10 seat
table, they will be accommodated every day of the week - not just Tuesday
evenings.
The Main Event's tournament format will be a no limit Texas Hold 'em
freezeout and will be capped at 150 seats.
The most appealing factor of the 2010 Poker Champs Tournament is that the
