April 16 - Montecasino, known as the Gauteng region's premier entertainment
destination, gave away prizes totaling millions of Rand over the past five
months in its Win Big BIG promotion.
The promotion, which was supposed to run for three months only, was extended
for another two due to popular demand. The first stage of the promotion saw
Montecasino give away a Hummer H3 vehicle and over R5 million in cash. Players
were so taken with the campaign, however, that the casino had no choice but to
extend it for another eight weeks, during which time another two Hummers and
R2.1 million in cash were given away.
To stand in line to win the prizes, gamblers needed to play table games or
slot machines at the resort and win draw tickets. Each week, a draw took place,
with cash prizes being given away to satisfied customers. During the promotion,
Montecasino Club Festival members were awarded with top up prizes ranging from
R2000 to R10,000.
Last Thursday saw the grand finale of the Win Big BIG promotion, with two
lucky winners, Jan Willem Pottas of Westonaria and Andrienna Lorraine Louw of
Craighall Park driving home with their brand new hummers.? A delighted
Pottas said: "I love Montecasino! My wife and I don't mind driving all the way
from Westonaria to enjoy all the entertainment options at Montecasino, and now
with our new vehicle, the drive will be even better."
Montecasino has recently installed a TITO system (ticket in ticket out) in
90% of its gaming machines to counter the inconvenience of inserting cumbersome
coins each time. The ticket avoids the hassles of downtime, jams and carrying a
lot of coins around the casino and is considered one of the most attractive new
features of playing at this resort.
