September 19 - Poker fans from around the country are counting down the days for one of the biggest events on the poker industry's calendar - the South African Poker Masters.
This prestigious event will take place next month at Gauteng's most popular entertainment and casino resort, Montecasino, and poker players are in for a spectacular four day event that will involve non stop poker action at the highest level.
The South African Poker Masters, which will begin on October 2nd and run until the 5th in the Ballroom at Montecasino, will comprise two events that will played out over the course of the four day tournament.
The first day will begin with a multi table super satellite, while the South African Poker Masters multi table main event will take place over days 2, 3 and 4. Both these events are freeze out tournaments.
In addition, there will be various single table poker satellites available during the tournament.
Montecasino has stated that 10% of the buy in funds will be used in order to cover the costs of the tournament, while the other 90% will be used as a prize pool in the competition. Prizes will be awarded to the top ten players in the South African Poker Masters.

3rd October (Friday) - R10,000 No Limit Hold 'em Main Event
