March 19 - The final weekend of Six Nations rugby betting action kicks off with Italy determined not to lose against France. This years Six Nations hasn't been kind to the Azzurri (what's new?), who haven't won a match yet this season, and are more than likely to walk off with the wooden spoon award for the second year in a row. After their performance against Wales last weekend, they are hoping the final weekend will reward their determination with a win.
France, on the other hand, isn't taking any chances in their last game of the season, and is making six changes to their starting lineup. Last weekend's crushing defeat against England is still an open wound, and they're not about to let Italy add insult to injury.
England is unwavering in their determination to beat Scotland for two reasons. They have a score to settle with Scotland, and they want to show the Scots what good sportsmanship is all about, and how to win gracefully, after last year's tournament, when Scotland tactlessly reveled in the glory of beating their oldest rugby rivals.
In order to put the cherry on the top, England would have to beat Scotland with a follow up to their resounding win over France last weekend, in order to put them in the running for second place in the Six Nations, which would be sure to gag Scotland.
Even though Scotland may meet England's challenge physically, they are shrouded under mental pressure. They go into Saturday’s game, knowing that if they don't meet a minimum of two championship victories as set by the Scottish Rugby Union, their coach, Frank Hadden, may be looking for a new job on Monday morning.
This, in line with the fact that they haven't won a game in Twickenham since 1983, and if they don't win this match, it'll be the third Six Nations disappointment in a row, they also want to prove to the nation, that they are a side worthy to be taken seriously.
This is the game that Ireland and their devoted fans have been waiting for, for 24 years. A win at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, would mean only their second Grand Slam and their first championship title since 1985.Not to mention taking the title away from Wales, who recorded their 10th grand slam last season.
Ireland's opponents, Wales, are still adamant that they will walk away with their 11th title, but in order for them to knock Ireland off the top spot, they'll need to win by at least 13 points.
This promises to be one of the most dramatic season finales that the RBS Six Nations has ever seen. Betting is courtesy of Ladbrokes.com:
