July 27 - The Chief Executive Officer of the Greek lottery group, Intralot, commented on the deal that the company has signed with National Lottery provider, Gidani, that will allow bank customers to access the lottery from ATMs, cell phones, and through their online banking accounts.
"We are very pleased that South Africa will benefit from the great advantage of our pioneering gaming platform B-On," said Constantinos Antonopoulos. "With the new playing channels the National Lottery of South Africa will have the opportunity to raise more money for good causes and players will enjoy more exciting gaming experiences."
The service has been open to customers at First National Bank, but Gidani has said that this will roll out to other participating banks by the end of the end.
"The second half of this year will see the introduction of new and exciting National Lottery experiences every other month," said the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gidani, Dr. Bongani Aug Khumalo. "This is in fulfillment of the commitment we made when we took over the running of the National Lottery of our country in October 2007, promising that South Africa will have a lottery like no other in the world."
"Intralot, as the technology provider of Gidani, has been working hard in order to offer South Africa unique gaming products and services and the result of this endeavor is a state of the art National Lottery," concluded Dr. Kumalo.
The pioneering B-On platform was created by the interactive gaming arm of Intralot after the formation of a business to business agreement with Party Gaming. The platform provides multi channel support, marketing activities and a feature rich gaming experience for players.
