May 4 - With the semis of the Indian Premier League upon us, it may be appropriate to take stock of the highlights of this top quality cricket event that is being played out in South Africa at the moment.
The IPL has attracted global attention - not only because of the incredible cricket talent that opened up the extravaganza in the Mother City, but also because of the host of Indian celebrities, including Bollywood stars, who descended on the country for the duration of the event.
Some of the best action was seen in the match between Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers, placing the action of this entire event in a proverbial nutshell.
Yusuf Pathan became the fourth batsman to score over 600 runs in the Indian Premier League so far. The other three were Raina, Shaun Marsh and Gilchrist, with the latter amassing the most at 646 runs.
RP Singh obliterated Shane Warne's tally of 26 in 21 matches, by taking his tally to 27 at 21.40 runs each in 20 Indian Premier League Games with two wickets.
Out of seven games in this season's IPL, the Rajasthan Royals registered their third win. Their win over the Deccan Chargers was also their third overall over this team.
This was the Deccan Chargers fourteenth loss in the IPL, similar to Bangalore's tally overall.
