September 24 - Emperors Palace, the luxurious casino and hotel resort that
manages to combine classic sophistication with thrilling excitement has the
honour of hosting the PDC SA Open on Sunday 30th September.
The four best darts players in the world will face South Africa's top four
players on the stage of the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace.
Darts fans can enjoy watching the present world champion, Raymond van Barneveld,
Phil 'The Power' Taylor, world matchplay champ England's James Wade and Terry
Jenkins (world number 4) take on the top South African talent such as Wynand
Havenga and others.
Wynand Havenga was victorious in the 2006 South African Masters and made the
final 16 in the World Championships. Phil Taylor is 13 times World Champion and
the so-called ?greatest ever darts player', so the non-stop action should be
riveting!
The 4 final players left in the Emperors Palace PDC South African Open which
takes place on Saturday 29 September will secure a hard won place in the South
African Masters. As if that isn't enough motivation, there is over R600 000 up
for grabs during the weekends play which makes these two meets the richest darts
championships ever to take place in our shores.
To enter the PDC SA Open on Saturday will cost you R150, whilst spectator's
entrance is free. Entrance to the South African Masters competition on Sunday
will cost R75 and tickets can be bought at Computicket or directly at Emperors
Palace Casino.
