Blues (-3) vs Brumbies (+3) - Auckland - Friday
Both teams have not fired this year. The Brumbies with all their stars
haven't done anything to live up to the favourite tags. Somehow we think that
they still won't click this weekend and will lose narrowly to a Blues outfit
with pace to burn in the backline.
Bulls (-14) vs Hurricanes (+14) - Pretoria - Friday
The Bulls are winning and winning easily but even their most hardened fans
will be worried about the many tries they are leaking. The Hurricanes are the
most erratic team in the comp and can pull a great game out the bag at any time.
This is where the Bulls have to fix their defense and we think the will win and
win handsomely by 10-15.
Crusaders (-27) vs Lions (+27) - Christchurch - Saturday
Dear oh dear. The Lions. Cricket score. No psychologist can teach people to
tackle. Sorry. Snotklap. Crusaders by 30+
Highlanders (+1) vs Sharks (-1) - Dunedin - Saturday
The bookies have the Sharks a narrow favorite. They have "rested" Smit. A
team in dire straits on tour and the Captain is rested. We don't buy it. Where
there's fire, there's more fire. Highlander narrowly win.
Force (na) vs Waratahs (na) - Perth - Saturday
The Waratahs fans and media reckon they are world beaters after belting the
Lions. Someone should talk them through the game and point out how shocking the
Lions defense is. The Force is absolute rubbish, even though they are fielding a
better team each week. As much as we hope for a Force win, The Waratahs should
win convincingly.
Stormers (-9) vs Cheetahs (+9) - Cape Town - Saturday
This is a tricky game for the Stormers and could well define their season.
they cannot drop this game but the problem is the Cheetahs know how to win in
the Cape. There's lots of class in this Stormers team though which should pull
them through to win by less than five but without the bonus point.
Ryan's season record: 26/34 = 74%
