May 14 - It's all headed down to the wire with any two of four teams in with
a chance to join the Bulls and Stormers in the semi finals. There is a
mathematical chance that the Stormers could miss out but about six million
planets would need to line up for that to happen. Here's is out last round-robin
preview of the year.

Crusaders (-6) v Brumbies (+6), Christchurch, Friday
Even though they have travelled from SA after three defeats in a row, the
Crusaders should be the favorites. This matchup has produced some of the best
rugby every year and this one will be no different. The Crusaders should edge it
at home with the horsemen and explosions setting the scene.
Waratahs (-2) v Hurricanes (+2), Sydney, Friday
The two chokers of the tournament again face off. One will choke again and
the other will go to the semis. The Tahs without Benn Robinson will struggle
come scrum time. We back The hurricanes to upset them.
Sharks (-12) v Force (+13), Durban, Friday
The Force have been competitive over the last few rounds but the Sharks have
been getting better and better and we predict a vintage Sharks win by more than
20.
Blues (-10) v Chiefs (+10), Auckland, Saturday
Who cares. Blues to win by lots. The Chiefs are fielding their youngsters.
How dare they! Oh wait....
Reds (-11) v Highlanders (+11), Brisbane, Saturday
Another "who cares" match. The Reds have had their familiar injury carnage
but they have a steeliness about them and should cover the spread.
Cheetahs (-14) v Lions (+14), Welkom, Saturday
The presence of the Lions in this tournament is an embarrassment to South
African rugby, Dick Muir's utterings that winning doesn't matter is a disgrace.
He keeps his job on reputation, certainly not results. The Cheetah should smash
them in Welkom, which won't we all to welcome for the Lions. Bring on the Kings.
Stormers (-13) v Bulls (+13), Cape Town, Saturday
Well this game has the Aussie and Kiwi media in stitches and we love it. The
bulls earned the right to rest their top players and what a chance to test their
depth. Expect the young Bulls to come out steaming under Bakkies but as the
match wears on the Stormers class will outshine them. Stormers by 10. I can't
wait for this game!
